Support for Heritage Pointe
Our Mission:
To provide exceptional residential services for the elderly, incorporating Jewish tradition and values. We offer a full range of assistance services, along with a secured memory care facility. We care for all residents with dignity, compassion and respect, and provide financial assistance to those in need, to the extent provided by the community.
Along with the multitude of services provided for Heritage Pointe residents, there remains a need that is now being addressed, which is to provide essential services to those members of our community who, as they grow older, begin to lose their mental acuity and require special needs due to memory loss.
With the average age of our more than 180 residents reaching their mid-80's, the various phases of dementia often begin to surface. The Board of Directors and staff of Heritage Pointe are committed to establishing facilities and developing services that will provide for the growing needs of these residents.
With the establishment of the Ruth Feuerstein wing at Heritage Pointe, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles and neighbors and colleagues, who have come to live at Heritage Pointe, need not, if faced with dementia, suddenly find themselves in a strange and unfamiliar environment, but rather remain with their friends and caregivers in the warm and compassionate Jewish environment at Heritage Pointe, enabled by 24-hour care and attention.

The Resident Assistance Fund offers over 20% of the residents at Heritage Pointe with confidential financial assistance to meet their monthly rental charges and required health services. The program is funded solely through charitable contributions. Contact the Development Department to learn of the many ways you can support this special program and help Heritage Pointe further its mission to meet the needs of deserving seniors in Orange County and Long Beach.

This prestigious group of community leaders provides core support for Heritage Pointe with a gift, payable over ten years, of $1,000, $1800, $2500 or $5000 annually.
Membership in Diamond Donors directly benefits residents who have limited or no other means of support. Heritage Pointe provides over $800,000 annually in subsidized care, and each year the level of support grows as residents age and require higher levels of care.
Thus, the ten-year commitment of Diamond Donors is essential to ensure that funding will match Heritage Pointe’s long-term commitment to our residents.

When the occasion calls for a special remembrance, a contribution to Heritage Pointe expresses your message in a compassionate way. Contribute in honor of a birthday, anniversary, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, holiday, in memory of a loved one or to say thank you.
Make a contribution to the Heritage Pointe Tribute Fund and we will send a beautiful card to your loved one.

Heritage Pointe staff members are not permitted to receive tips for the services they provide to our residents. All contributions made to the Employee Appreciation Fund goes a very long way to show our employees how much they are truly appreciated throughout the year.
Heritage Pointe prides itself on the quality of care our residents receive each and every day, and your support of this special fund assures us that you have complete confidence in our home.

Heritage Pointe offers a full and varied activity program overseen by our Activities Director. Daily social, cultural, religious, educational and recreational events are offered to our residents. Contributions made to this fund directly support the activities here at Heritage Pointe.

This is our newest dedication wall, and is placed just outside of our library for high visibility. This wall honors our future generations; recognizing our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

The Tree of Celebration Dedication Wall is located outside of the Dining Room and is a lovely, contemporary design that reflects our newly-refurbished facility. There are four levels of giving to permanently inscribe the name of your loved
one(s).

A dedication wall in the Synagogue/Multi-Purpose Room is beautifully constructed using Jerusalem stone plaques that can be individualized with your inscription. Donations begin at $500.

Charitable Gift Annuities are designed to pay you a high cash payment for the rest of your life and still leave behind a substantial legacy to benefit Heritage Pointe. Some of the benefits of CGA’s are: 1) Interest rates are much higher than you receive from banks or savings accounts, 2) a sizeable charitable income tax deduction in the year the gift is made, 3) a guaranteed stream of payments that will be partially tax free…and more.
Legacy funds are expertly managed by the Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation to generate income to be used for:

  • Resident activity programs
  • Heritage Pointe Endowment Fund
  • Heritage Pointe Operating Fund
  • Repair and Replacement Fund
